This painting is a part of my survivor stories. The real life women depicted in this painting is a survivor of domestic violence. Her abuser physically, emotionally and financially abused her most days for years.
After escaping she has found great comfort in taking care of herself through exercise, and dancing. As she shared her story she shared with me that she though her story is difficult and sad her greatest form of courage comes from deep within her.Â
